Interesting analysis about VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) in today's Good Morning Silicon Valley by John Paczkowski. Check out his posting, it's called: Sure, I remember Vonage ... what'd they do again?
Is it possible that VoIP has peaked? No way. I think we've reached an "inflection point" and the eBay-Skype deal caused it. The deal is having a ripple effect on VoIP companies such as Vonage. More importantly it's compelling traditional network operators such a Verizon and Comcast to launch new low cost IP Telephony services.
What's happening right now will dramatically accelerate the adoption of VoIP by the mass market.
