Mark Cuban asks - will PPC work in Newspapers?

Mark Cuban is asking excellent questions of newspaper publishers on his Blog today. Basically his ask is - why not apply an online PPC (Pay Per Click) approach to newspaper display ads?

I like Mark's thinking. Its just the kind of thing that ignites innovation and change for the better. In this case it's not just for newpapers but for publishers of print media. Here's a link to his posting: Why haven't they done this?
