Interesting article in today's Globe and Mail about Where the jobs are and students aren't. New graduates are steering away from tech jobs despite an upturn in hiring. The number of new tech jobs are not at their pre-2002 levels but have doubled in the last 18 months. What is also interesting to note is that tech jobs in non tech industries are up.
In the last two weeks five small/mid sized software companies have told me they've had to hire new sales people just to close the volume of new clients. These are clear early indicators of a technology industry upturn. Hope it lasts!
